Policy Officer - Payment Services / Retail Financial Services
Katarzyna Kobylińska-Hilliard has been a Policy Officer in the European Commission since 2014. Over the last four years, she has been responsible for retail payments files, with a specific focus on instant payments, in DG FISMA (Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union). Prior to that, she has been responsible for corporate governance in financial institutions in DG JUST (Directorate General for Justice and Consumers). Katarzyna has nearly 10 years’ experience working in the private sector before joining the European Commission. She worked for a banking industry association in Brussels on retail financial services and prudential supervision, as well as in a consumer advocacy organisation in Dublin. She has a masters degree in law.
